ColorSpot 1200 ATs Shine at the Yunnan TV Station
Sixty Robe ColorSpot 1200 AT moving lights have been bought and installed at the Yunnan TV Studios in southwest China. They were supplied by Robe’s Chinese distributor Leifull Light & Sound Technology Co. Ltd after being specified by Mr. Wei Feng, head of the program production dept of the Yunnan TV station.
Robe was chosen for its excellent reliability and high brightness, its pure colours, versatile macro functions, rapid and easy operation and fabulous gobos. Quiet operation due to being well engineered was also another major factor explains Mr. Liu Wanlei, Leifull’s sales manager who handled the deal. “With all 60 fixtures running together and complete background silence, you can hardly hear any mechanical movement or noise,” he says.
The newly built studio features 600 square metres of space used for producing chat shows, contests and quiz programmes of all types and live performance events. With each genre of programme having dramatically different lighting requirements, the team took great care to find the right intelligent lighting product and supplier.
All 60 Robe units are run via a Wireless Solutions W-DMX wireless data system from Swedish-based W-DMX, which transmits the signal without any interference.
