It’s Showtime as Klark Teknik Launches Show Command

A raft of brand new ultra high-end Ethernet equipped digital products updates the Helix System to provide the hardware for Show Command. These comprise the Helix DN9848E System Controller, Helix DN9340E Dual EQ, Helix DN9344E Quad EQ and Helix DN9331 RAPIDE Fader Remote.

DN9848E System Controller Remote Controller Software joins the DN9340/44E EQ Remote Control Software, both Add-Ins for the Midas and Klark Teknik ELGAR software platform. Coupled with a wireless-capable PC laptop/tablet this forms the PC control section of Show Command which provides enhanced management of the hardware.

“Show Command can be used by audio technicians and engineers both before and during the performance to control all aspects of an audio system from a single platform,” says Richard Ferriday, Midas and Klark Teknik’s brand development manager.

During the show, graphics can be controlled from the DN9331 RAPIDE Remote Fader with instant recall via 31 exclusive Klark Teknik 100mm lag free motorised faders. Its flexible user interface allows custom remote channel assignments across four banks of 32 channel selection buttons. Four freely assignable group buttons and a global ‘all channels’ button allow simultaneous adjustment of multiple channels, especially important when the priority is to stop on-stage feedback first, and determine the source second. The Helix RAPIDE is also the networking centre of the Show Command System as an eight external port Ethernet hub is incorporated into the device.

The control of the Helix graphic EQs becomes even easier when coupled with an STS-compatible Midas console, as pressing a solo button on the console displays the EQ for that input or output on the RAPIDE and/or the Helix EQ software.

System flexibility is further increased by using the Helix EQ as a discrete unit which allows for greater patching options; yet another innovative feature of Show Command.

All new Helix units are backward compatible with the previous versions of Helix DN9340, DN9344s, while the original DN9848 can be used with a Lantronix UDS100 RS-485 to Ethernet converter.
