Midas H3000 Weathers the Storm
Indian PA and events production company Electrocraft is the proud owner of a Midas Heritage 3000 console, which recently underwent one of the most rigorous tests known to electronic sound equipment.
Mumbai, where Electrocraft is based, recently suffered the heaviest monsoon on record, with almost a metre of rain falling on the city during a 24 hour period. Electrocraft’s premises were badly affected by the flooding, resulting in the H3000 being submerged below the flood waters.
Amazingly, all was not lost. One of Electrocraft’s enterprising service engineers gave the console a thorough clean using industrial grade alcohol and powered it up. Much to the joy of all present, it worked perfectly first time and was drafted back into service straight away.
