HK Audio Provides a Touch of Class to Chinese Club
HK Audio’s Chinese distributor, Melody Development Company, has supplied a speaker system to the Born In 70s bar in Nanjing.
Located in the city’s 1912 Leisure Street, the exterior of the bar, with its red brick and white walls and black-tiled roof, is just like the other 40-odd bars and night clubs along the street, and competition is fierce as each one strives to establish its own style. Born In 70s has chosen a gentle, mellow atmosphere in which to present live performances of classic songs. Melody Development’s Nanjing office was happy to supply an HK Audio system and help to establish the unique musical experience the bar was looking for.
“We are not a noisy disco pub which just needs high volume and lots of booming sound,” says bar owner Lu Dong. “As a high end live performance bar, we provide the customer with taste and style. We have a young crowd which comes here and demands a truly musical experience. HK Audio loudspeakers, with their clean and dynamic response, truly fulfil our requirements. We made the decision to buy them immediately after the demonstration.”
Melody Development put together a system from HK Audio’s Premium Series to provide the bar with the sound and atmosphere it was looking for. Four PR 115 15” subwoofers - two either side of the stage - are stacked on the ground, with two PR 112 compact full range cabinets per side in a Y rack on the subs. Two PR 112 M floor monitors are positioned on stage for the artists.
“Both the musicians who play here, and the customers who spend time in the bar, are very pleased with the sound, which perfectly complements our atmosphere,” concludes Lu Dong.
