Zero 88 Launches Two New Tools

Zero 88 has announced the addition of two new products to their control portfolio.

The first is the new, easy to use DMX tester – Cable Test. Made from brushed aluminium and shipped in a belt holster, Cable Test utilises nine diagnostic LEDS to allow a variety of test functions. The unit can test for the presence of DMX; detect reversed polarity in cables as well as checking all wires are connected. Every technician needs a test device and this battery-operated unit is priced to allow anyone to afford a good, easy to operate tester.

Zero 88 has also announced the availability of Light Converse. Light Converse is lighting control system software program with an internal 3D visualizer.

The software is intended for lighting control in theatres, concert halls, clubs, bars, as well as for architectural lighting. 3D visualizer shows truly realistic pictures of light in live mode, depending on lighting control system parameters, parameters and texture of the room, including furniture and architectural lighting. Key features include: full 3D real-time visualization of up to 7 universes of DMX over Artnet); User selectable resolution and video quality, allows you to match the visualization to your PC; frame rates of 25-30 frames per second on most PCs; superb quality (built on a computer gaming engine) with live 3D movements of fixture beams, including multiple gobos and prisms.; realistic fixture models including parameter timing channels, split colour wheels, etc.; visualization includes DMX control of the camera, allowing pre-visualization of camera moves for audio visual applications; 3D stereo glasses mode gives 3D visualization of beams; optional hardware DMX interface to enable visualization from any DMX console – up to four universes.

To mark the arrival of these new products Zero 88 are running a special promotion during December 2006 and January / February 2007.
