HHB Appoints Modi Digital as Exclusive Distributor in India

Audio equipment manufacturer HHB Communications has appointed Modi Digital as the exclusive distributor of its products in India with immediate effect. An associate company of Audio Vision, one of India’s foremost video and film consultancy and equipment marketing companies, Modi Digital has established an excellent reputation for technical consultancy and nationwide customer service, with headquarters in Chennai and branch offices in Mumbai and Hyderabad.

An experienced supplier of audio and video equipment to the film, music recording, post and broadcast sectors, Modi Digital is ideally placed to represent the HHB product range, which already includes the PortaDrive location sound recorder, PortaDisc portable MD recorder, CDR830 and 830 Plus CD recorders and the HHB Professional Recording Media, which encompasses all popular tape and disc-based digital formats.

Modi Digital managing director Vijay Modi is particularly excited about two of HHB¹s new products; the DRM85 FlashMic digital recording microphone and the CDP-88 professional CD player. “The Indian government has recently approved the licensing of more than 300 new FM radio stations, so we

anticipate a high demand for suitably-featured professional audio products,” comments Modi. “With a built-in Flash recorder and USB file transfer, the FlashMic is perfect for radio journalism, while the CDP-88 rack-mounting CD player has all the facilities essential for broadcast use. Moreover, HHB has

an international reputation for quality and reliability, with many major broadcasters around the world already relying upon HHB products daily.”

HHB joins a prestigious list of carefully selected manufacturers already represented in India by Modi Digital, including Genelec, Schoeps and Merging Technologies.

Speaking on behalf of HHB during a recent trip to Chennai and New Delhi, managing director Ian Jones said: “What particularly impresses us about Modi Digital is the excellent coverage they achieve in this vast country, providing a high level of service and technical support to audio professionals working in all industry sectors, right throughout the territory. With such exciting products as the FlashMic and CDP-88 coming to market, and the PortaDrive already in widespread use in the film industry, we’re confident that Modi Digital and audio professionals across India will enjoy great success with HHB pro audio products.”
