Shimizu Octo Opts for Hoists with Precision Positioning
The Japanese events and entertainment service provider Shimizu Octo has just invested in a mobile chain hoist controller from ChainMaster along with eight VarioLift 500kg hoists (speed: 1-19m/min.) and four VarioLift 250kg hoists (1-24 m/min.), in each case from ChainMaster. The system was used for the first time for the ‘Mr. Children – Dome Tour 2005’ in Japan.
The VarioLift offers maximum precision and reproducibility in the positioning of chain hoists. It is based on an integrated vector-controlled frequency converter, supplied by a high impulse incremental encoder, and operates with a positional accuracy of 0.2 millimetres.
ChainMaster's VarioLift range includes models for loads ranging from 125kg to 6.300kg conforming to the BGV-C1 standard. A model is therefore available for applications as diverse as the movement of scenery at up to 30 m/min and the lifting of heavy loads.
