Selecon Relaunch Website

“In today’s world of ‘I need this now’ it’s imperative that a company not only has a great looking, stylish website but that the information that customers are looking for is quickly and easily accessible, whether it’s a general product query or perhaps something more specific in the way of stage lighting education or guidance,” says Jeremy Collins, managing director of Selecon. “We are confident that we have achieved these goals with a great balance of Selecon product information and support together with our endeavours to provide as much as we can to encourage and help those new to our industry.”

New back-end enhancements allow for a more flexible operation of the Selecon site with a new ‘search’ function as well as being able to source information on products by either family name or luminaire type. Product pages now state the kind of information that you want at a glance such as wattages, lamps, certifications, accessories plus the added feature of having all available product support information listed and available to download right there – a one-stop shop! Plus, there is the added feature of an in-built lighting calculator – find out straight away what the light output is for a Pacific 45-75 Zoomspot at a 22m throw distance using a 1000W lamp!

A ‘related items’ section appears at the top right hand side of each product page which gives immediate access to support material such as the CAD drawings, lens replacements and for the Pacific range extra material based on lamp alignment, exterior locations use, image and pattern projection, DIY patterns and light distribution.

Selecon is serious about providing as much stage lighting information as possible. Check out the expanded educational support section: Switched On, an Introduction to Stage Lighting, The Useable Properties of Light, Lighting Formulas - plus a new Getting Started link which contains details of basic equipment kits and a list of helpful links to new pages such as “What’s a Fresnel?”, “What’s a PC?” etc.
