Creative Technology has announced expansion into Asia, and highlighted the continued growth within their recently established office in Dubai. CT Shanghai will enhance CT’s already excellent global coverage to further support existing and new CT clients.

General manager Tom Hui heads up the day-to-day operations of the Shanghai office and warehouse. Tom has been in the industry for over 25 years, having managed a large, full service AV company in Shanghai and brings invaluable knowledge and experience of the market and requirements specific to China and the rest of Asia.

Tom is joined by Christiaan Page from CT London as projects director. Christiaan brings additional expertise, having project managed video and audio installations at several recent Olympics, and has worked throughout Asia, Australasia and Europe.

A full team of skilled project managers, engineers and technicians, both local and expatriate, ensures that CT Shanghai is fast becoming a major resource for live event video in the region. The warehouse is fully operational with an assortment of high end video equipment, including: digital PPU systems with GVG Kayak switcher and Sony D35 Cameras; Watchout playback and programming; Barco FLM HD18, Panasonic 10 and 7k projectors; Vista Spyder, Folsom Screen Pro and Image Pro processing: and Barco I6XP 6mm indoor LED.

CT Shanghai is the centre of CT’s operations for Asia Pacific, and is poised for significant growth potential with the upcoming 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, Shanghai World Expo 2010, and the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou.

Since opening an office in Dubai just over a year ago, Creative Technology Dubai has gone from strength to strength and has recently relocated to larger premises. Still positioned in the central district of Dubai, the offices are within easy reach of all the large exhibition and conference centres. the office in Dubai has served as a base for events throughout the Middle East. As well as managing live events in Dubai, the team have also successfully managed and delivered a number of high profile events in Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

CT Dubai has gained the enviable position as a leading video supplier in Dubai. Locally based equipment inventory includes: digital PPU system with GVG Kayak switcher and D35 Cameras; FLM 20, R12+, Panasonic 10 and 7k projectors; Encore, Screen Pro and Image Pro processing; Plasmas and Seamless Plasma; and Barco D7 LEDs.

General manager Damien McGurn is responsible for the daily operations. Damien's knowledge of the Middle East is invaluable, having worked and managed numerous successful events in the UAE for the past 20 years. The team in Dubai is evolving and has an experienced and eager group of personnel in place ready to meet the demands of the rapidly expanding live event market in Dubai and the Middle East in general.
