HK Audio at Jackie Chan Café Singapore
In the past year, martial arts master and presumably Asia's best known matinee idol Jackie Chan launched a line of cafés bearing his name in Singapore, Malaysia, and Beijing, China. Furnished with cozy sofas and several TV sets showing the latest of Jackie Chan's big-screen adventures, these cafés offer a little something for every craving, from the usual coffee to go for caffeine-lovers to official Jackie Chan merchandise for dyed-in-the-wool fans. Most of the earnings from the café chain flow into the Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation, an initiative launched by the iconic actor to help ailing children and build schools.
The local HK Audio reseller Peak Fusion equipped the Singaporean café with eight IL 60 TB cabinets from the HK Audio Installation Line to provide background sound reinforcement. Prized for their ability to render speech crisply and clearly, as well as for their excellent audio quality, the IL 60 TB full-range enclosures turned out to be the perfect solution for this venue's given conditions. Installed at unobtrusive spots under the ceiling, they distribute sound evenly, ensuring audio signals come across loud, clear, and easily understood throughout the premises. Announcements, background music, and screenings of Jackie Chan flicks on the monitors - it all sounds great.
During the official opening, Jackie Chan personally served the first round of coffee to guests, with HK Audio equipment providing audio support. Four each CTA 208 Mid/High units and CTA 118 Sub bins served as the PA for the local band's gig and the opening speech. Two D.A.R.T.s were used for monitoring.
Jackie Chan stated on his website blog how delighted he was with the opening ceremony's great success and again called attention to the children's fund that every guest of the café automatically supports with every purchase.
