Showtecgroup Singapore Backs d&b J-Series

Already one of the biggest players in the lighting and sound rental market, Showtecgroup has just become one of the largest rental stockholders of d&b audiotechnik J-Series systems in the region of South Eastern Asia. "Mr Henry

Ang, the mercurial founder of Showtecgroup confirmed his latest order withus early in the New Year," said Sebastian Song who leads d&b's office in Singapore. "The order represents a big investment by Showtecgroup; substantial quantities of the full range of J-Series loudspeaker systems, the J8 and J12 loudspeakers and the J subwoofer as well as some 40-odd D12 amplifiers."

Mr Ang identified a direct need from the pro audio customers in his region: "One of the main reasons for us to buy more d&b is to cater for the high end market. Most of our customers also have high expectations on audio quality.

We already have d&b's Q-Series systems and M4 monitors in our inventory and know d&b products can easily fulfil this demand."

Showtecgroup is the top professional entertainment company in Singapore, with satellite offices in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Bangkok, Thailand; as well as the Eastern Asian cities of Beijing and Shanghai in China. "We have been shipping our lighting equipment internationally for some time," said Mr Ang, "but not audio, although we do have a d&b Q-Series system permanently based in Beijing. We needed big system capability from a single brand product that has international presence. There are some other good brands and big systems in the region, but the J-Series gives Showtecgroup an exclusive edge in thissector."
