PALM Beijing: Total Solution Presents New Products from ChainMaster
Total Solution Marketing, ChainMaster's Singapore-based distribution partner, has been presenting the company's current range of kinetic solutions for stage and show applications at the Palm Expo Beijing 2008 trade fair for events equipment, which ran from the 29th May to the 1st June in the China International Exhibition Centre, Beijing. The host nation for the Summer Olympics 2008 registered economic growth of 11.5 per cent in the first six months of 2007 alone, and the dynamism of the Chinese economy is no less evident in the events industry: the world's most populous country currently boasts 75,000 discotheques and around 1,900 opera houses and theatres as well as 2,900 concert halls and arts centres.
At the Beijing fair, the ChainMaster products on view included the newly improved controllers of the XYZ series as well as the BGV-C1 pro touch-panel control system with its expanded function set.
The XYZ Stage Controller governs movement along all three axes. It is equipped with a 12" flat screen and offers, depending upon the version selected, up to two separate joysticks. The integrated keyboard and mouse permit swift and efficient control and programming. In networks, it is possible to run multiple XYZ Stage Controllers in parallel. The XYZ Stage Controller comes as standard in a 19" housing and is available in both slot and case-top versions according to choice.
The BGV-C1 pro control system is an operation unit for manual controllers with group shutdown, the user interface of which features a 5.7" touch panel. With it, up to six 4/8-channel manual controllers can be linked. The touch panel is equipped with a Start button and an Emergency Off button; the unit is started using a key switch and makes programmable target runs possible. The routing comprehends monitoring of the direction of rotation. The load measurement system is equipped with a shutdown function. Both the correct and the actual positions of the connected hoists are displayed along with all error and operating conditions. With the BGV-C1 up to 48 drives can be controlled simultaneously.
