W-DMX Wireless University Coming to Singapore
Wireless Solution Sweden AB has announced the next installment of Wireless University, its popular series of presentations and hands-on demonstrations aimed at educating the industry on the technology and benefits of wireless DMX.
The program will be held during PALME Asia in Singapore on Wednesday, July 9 from 3.30 to 4.30pm in Room 1 at the Suntec Singapore International Exhibition & Convention Centre. Niclas Arvidsson, international sales manager and co-founder of Wireless Solution will host the session and will cover topics such as: Pros and cons of wireless control, how it works, radio protocols (W-LAN, Bluetooth, etc.), choosing a radio system, system planning, and peripheral equipment.
"We're very excited about the educational series," says Arvidsson, "We encourage everyone to attend - dealers, specifiers, students - no matter what your level of knowledge on the subject. It's meant to teach. The more people know about the technology, the quicker it will become a standard practice and help make a lot of installations easier and in most cases, more cost effective."
Past programs have been held during major trade shows such as PLASA and LDI, with attendees giving high remarks to the educational value of the program.
Niclas Norlén, R&D manager and co-founder of Wireless Solution explains: "Wireless Control is rapidly increasing in popularity and one of our missions is to educate people to get a better understanding for this technology. What we see today is if someone fails with his or her wireless installation, no matter what the reason, it gives wireless control a bad reputation in general. Today there are a few good producers of professional wireless control equipment and we would all benefit from a seminar."
W-DMX by Wireless Solution Sweden AB is the number one system on the market for Wireless DMX, winning awards at major trade shows on both sides of the Atlantic. Lighting & Sound International magazine proclaimed that W-DMX "outshone the rest" in an independent test, ‘The Great Wireless Shootout'. It has been used in high profile projects all over the world, including the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest, the Pyramids of Giza, Times Square in New York City and on Cirque du Soleil's Delirium show.
The PALME Asia exhibition will be held July 8-10. Wireless Solution will be exhibiting in Stand J23. For more information about PALME Asia, visit www.palmeonline.com.
