iLive Creates a Storm in Vietnam

Vietnamese PA company, Fantasies Show & Light, selected Allen & Heath's iLive digital mixing system for a recent tour visiting 10 cities across the country.
Rock Storm included a host of Vietnamese rock artists, from the renowned female singer Phuong Thanh and the bands Tran Lap and Da Vang, to emerging groups, such as Thuy Trieu Do (Red Tide), Microwave and Ngu Cung. Each gig included performances from a selection of five bands, with headline performances from Da Vang, Microwave and Tran Lap.
Rock Storm's show sound director was renowned Japanese engineer, Masaaki Azuma, who has handled sound control for famous international shows, including Madonna, Oasis, Under World, Metallica, and Fuji Rock Festival. Fantasies Show & light selected an iDR10 MixRack with two iLive-112 Control Surfaces managing FOH and monitors.
PA company owner, Mr. Hung, commented: "I'm very impressed with iLive's ease of use and audio quality - my sound engineers love it! The ability to use two surfaces with only one stage rack was fantastic, so we decided to purchase a second iLive-112 surface to manage combined FOH and monitor sound."
The tour kicked off in Hanoi, followed by dates in Hai Phong, Thai Nguyen, Vinh, Hue, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Dong Nai, Can Tho and finally Ho Chi Minh, entertaining more than 200,000 rock fans and millions of radio listeners and viewers nationwide. The opening night at Hanoi's HangDay Stadium, had a sell-out audience of 20,000.
