Lighthouse Announce Sri Lankan's Cricket Club Sponsorship
Lighthouse Technology Ltd. Has announced it is the Title sponsor of the Lighthouse Sri Lankan's Cricket Club (LSLCC), a Hong Kong Cricket Association Sunday League (HKCASL) member. The sponsorship plays an important role in Lighthouse's ongoing mission to be a socially responsible corporate citizen and to create impact on those in need.
On Sunday, the LSLCC fought hard in its season opener against the Vagabonds CC, playing with heart even though the final score was not in their favour.
Lighthouse's sponsorship is especially important to the LSLCC, as the Sri Lankan players on the team come from a variety of backgrounds, with some cricketing talents that have financial hardships and, although they have immense athletic talent, they do not possess the means to make financial contributions. Thanks to Lighthouse's donations, these players now have a real opportunity to discover their full potential.
"LSLCC was founded in 2005 and entered the league in 2006, and at present is the youngest club participating in the premier league of Hong Kong. As a young club, with not many popular figures or national players in the team, we found it hard to find a Title sponsor in the first two seasons. Therefore, we are thankful and proud to have Lighthouse as our first ever Title sponsor, a generous corporate entity who has come forward to support our efforts," says Chandrin Dissanayake, founder/chairman of LSLCC.
As Title sponsor, Lighthouse once again demonstrates its leadership not just in the LED video display industry, but also as a socially responsible corporate citizen. In supporting the LSLCC, Lighthouse hopes to spark a trend that will spread to more businesses throughout Hong Kong.
"Lighthouse is committed not only to developing excellent LED screen products and solutions, but also to help those of our community who really need it the most. As an industry leader we feel we have a certain responsibility to create a positive impact on the society that has helped us so much to grow," says Peter Chan, general manager at Lighthouse.
