SGM's Stand Full of innovation
Among the most significant new items on the SGM stand at ProLight+Sound in Frankfurt were the Giotto Beam 1500 and Giotto Spot 700 moving head fixtures, the brand new Stilo LED colour changer and the revolutionary full colour versions of Palco 5 and Genio. Ample space was also dedicated to the latest (2.18) release of the Regia 2048 console and the Pilot 3000 version 1.3. Finally, there was the presentation of the innovative SGM Dotto LED range, specifically dedicated to architectural applications.
The concept of modularity as the basis of the Giotto 1500 design makes it an incredibly flexible unit to use. Thanks to the addition of new modules, Giotto 1500 enables easy integration of the additional functions of completely different fixtures in a single unit, ensuring remarkable savings in investment on equipment. With the new Beam configuration, Giotto 1500 creates a very narrow, highly concentrated and powerful light beam. Its ideal application is on outdoor shows, to create light beams that can be clearly seen from a long distance.
Giotto Spot 700 is the latest evolution in the Giotto range of fixtures. Two types of interchangeable 700 Watt lamps with automatic fast re-strike ensure a luminous output never seen before on a 700W fixture. The fixture features CYM colour mixing to create an unlimited quantity of colours and different shades, linear CTO, two wheels with rotating interchangeable gobos (each with 8 slots plus white) a 6-colour plus white colour wheel and an easily changed animation wheel to create all kinds of animated effects. Giotto Spot 700 completes the Giotto range, offering the maximum lighting professionals could wish for to show their creativity at its best.
The new version (2.18) of the Regia 2048 control desk increase its operating capacity for professional use. Users can choose among three models: Regia 2048 Opera, Regia 2048 Llive and Regia 2048 PRO.
The Pilot 3000 is a lighting controller ideal for use with medium and small rigs, with the fundamental features typical of large consoles. Pilot 3000 can control up to 1024 DMX channels via two independent DMX outputs and features an intuitive control layout, including Colour TFT touch screen for direct access to the functions displayed.
The new release (1.3) of Pilot 3000 software includes functions that further expand its potential and control flexibility. Pilot 3000 can now be controlled via DMX, offering all operators the possibility of extending and customizing the console's physical controls as required, further increasing its ability to control lighting rigs and systems.
Stilo is the ideal fixture for scenographic and decorative illumination indoors and outdoors, thanks to its IP65 protection rating. Its design, combined with compact dimensions, enable it to be rapidly and discretely installed for the creation of lighting effects on large surfaces, such as walls, theatre and television backdrops and architectural elements in general. Its perfect light diffusion is ensured by a choice of five different lenses.
Palco 5 Full Color uses Rebel LED, a light source with a new concept and a maximum performance of 80 Lumens. The result is a colourchanger able to generate much more powerful light beams, with exceptionally even colour on the illuminated surfaces and eliminating any coloured shadow defects. Perfect colour uniformity is also guaranteed even when viewing the fixture's LED matrix directly from the front.
Genio Full Color LED IP65 offers and extremely high luminous yield and very low energy consumption. It has been upgraded, thanks to its new full-colour type light source. The combination of advanced technical features provides unprecedented luminous output, considerable energy saving, lower environmental impact, exceptionally even colour of the illuminated elements and elimination of any coloured shadow defect.
The realisation of the Dotto mini-spots is the result of the need to accentuate architectural elements using lighting. The Dotto colour changers for indoor and IP65 rated outdoor use create suggestive atmospheres with high-power white LED or intense luminous effects with full-colour LED. According to the situation, there are various installation alternatives: ceiling, wall and floor recessed, or on powered tracks. The lines of the mini-spots can be customized with various types of glass: hexagonal ground glass, octagonal ground glass, round or with a metal flange. The diffusion of the light beam is by means of a standard 25° lens, which ensures even diffused illumination with endless colour combinations.
D1 - D3 - D7 - D18 IP65 are colour changers for indoor and IP65 outdoor applications available in four different diameters, D1 (63mm), D3 (86mm), D7 (122mm), D18 (200mm). DL15 - DL30 - DL45 IP20 are colour changer for indoor use available in three different lengths: DL15 (350 mm) - DL30 (650 mm) and DL45 (950 mm). DC150 - DC300 IP20 are controllers for recalling programs such as colour sequence, luminous intensity, duration of each event, precise instant of their start.
