Lighthouse Debuts New Era of LED Products at InfoComm

Lighthouse Technologies has again put itself in the spotlight at InfoComm US 09, launching the new Lighthouse Control Master (LCM) 4K and XGA interface processors, the LEDscape Mesh 123242 LED panel and Helios. With these products, Lighthouse marks a new era of visual quality, flexibility, reliability and control for the staging and entertainment market, reconfirming its position as the industry's creative and innovation leader.

Lighthouse's new LCM, a next generation interface processor that drives ultra-high resolution images in vivid color, is making its first public appearance at InfoComm. With a combined scaler and processor, the LCM's single control platform simplifies operations, increases application flexibility, and minimizes points of failure, saving customers on long term maintenance costs. The LCM also includes auto addressing, which reduces set up and take down time and lowers the risk of installation errors.

Featuring up to 16-bit processing and communication, the LCM series are top in their class, delivering better colour accuracy, more vivid images, greater contrast, higher brightness levels and significantly improved picture quality. On-site color correction increases user-friendliness, and the top of the line LCM-4K supports a stunning maximum resolution of 4,096x2160, giving rental users the broadest array of screen options that have ever been available. Combined with per pixel sizing control, which allows for virtually any shape of screen to be installed, the ultra-high resolution significantly reduces the number of processors needed for any given application.

The LCM series also uses a closed looped diagnostic system, resulting in minimal downtime, greater savings and faster ROI, making it a true win-win situation for customers.

Lighthouse has also launched the new LIP-HDI for fixed installations at InfoComm. The LIP-HDI is the premier interface processor for any fixed installation, featuring a new communications chipset that provides much better cable management when driving HD resolution screens. Lighthouse has improved the design to run more efficiently, delivering even greater performance with less power consumption to help customers save on operating costs.

The new Mesh (Product code: M123242) is a 12mm pixel pitch panel geared toward creative minds that need a versatile LED panel for original lighting arrays, full color video or to combine with other lighting solutions.

Mesh features wide 140o horizontal and 120o vertical viewing angles for excellent long-distance off-axis viewing, a necessity for staging and entertainment venues. Manufactured with aluminum, each panel is highly durable and 23% transparent, opening up users to a range of creative possibilities that will stretch one's imagination to the limit. And, since each module weighs just 2.2kg, they are very easy to set up and tear down.

Mesh upholds Lighthouse's tradition of outstanding image quality thanks to its 3-in1 SMD LEDs, 32x32 per module pixel resolution, and 4200 nits of brightness, so images are sharper, clearer and more vivid in all weather conditions. The low-noise design makes them ideal for quiet indoor events as well.

A display unit with a high resolution digital face on one side and a back-lit poster on the other, the new HELIOS (High Efficiency LED Informative Operations System) is a powerful DOOH (Digital Out-Of-Home) system ideal for high density areas and high-traffic roadsides. Featuring a 6mm pixel pitch, 3000 nits brightness, rugged weatherproof design, built-in audio, and the ability to display dynamic content in a rotating fashion, HELIOS provides a new option for businesses seeking to increase ad revenue while minimizing operating costs. Content management and distribution is extremely simple to use, and can be controlled via a Wi-Fi, 3G, CDMA or landline connection.

Lighthouse will also unveil a brand new 12mm pixel pitch concept product at InfoComm US 09, with ultra slim design; further details can be found at the exhibition booth no. 3019.

"By launching the new LCM processors, LIP-HDI, Mesh and Helios at InfoComm US 09, Lighthouse continues to show not only a firm commitment to revolutionizing the LED rental market, but also to being an innovative leader, developer, and producer of top-class, leading-edge products that provide greater value to our customers," says Peter Chan, general manager of Lighthouse. "Our constant passion to innovate is how we create impact."
