AV Stumpfl Announce Wings Vioso
AV Stumpfl, producer of the well-known Wings Platinum media programme and VIOSO GmbH, a specialist in unusual camera-based projecting are to present a joint media server product "WINGS VIOSO" at Integrated System Europe 2010 in Amsterdam.
The product unites the core competences of both companies: the comprehensive and, in the latest version, visibly enhanced range of media server functions from AV Stumpfl's Wings Platinum 4 and VIOSO´s innovative solutions with regard to projection adaptations, real time capabilities and automatic camera correction of color and of surface geometry.
"In recent years our camera-based projection solutions have caused a sensation," explains Benjamin Fritsch, the managing director of VIOSO GmbH. "However, people often asked for extensive possibilities of content manipulation. Thanks to the smooth interaction of both technologies we are now able to deliver a plug-and-play package to our customers."
In this joint product the camera-based technology offers fascinating opportunities. Multidisplay shows can be created automatically with the assistance of a connected camera. The content is transferred to the data projector, the projection adapted to the surface geometry, the colors of the projectors are adjusted and the softedge area automatically determined. Calibrations which were previously tedious only take a few minutes.
What is more, the patented technology can project onto unusual surfaces. Each pixel is adjusted in real time, to the surface color and structure. It is therefore possible to project onto hitherto unsuitable surfaces such as brick walls, stone quarries or colored curtains.
The link between the technologies is perfect: the familiar Wings Platinum user interface with its high-quality display has been complemented by the manifold range of correction functions provided by the VIOSO technology. "The user only needs one software application", says Fred Neulinger from AV Stumpfl GmbH and adds: "In a very short space of time fascinating shows in HDAV quality can be created." The novel functions of Wings Platinum 4 also allow the compilation of even more fascinating shows.
The attraction is that the product can be supplied - optionally - with a media server which can control up to four different projectors from one single computer.
