EASE JR Now More Accessible too Students and Small Firms
EASE 4.1 (Electro-Acoustic Simulator for Engineers), the software for acoustical modeling and sound system design evaluation, is now more accessible to students and small firms and anyone embarking on a career in professional audio. Renkus-Heinz, the worldwide distributor for Acoustic Design Ahnert, has announced immediate availability of EASE JR/2, a two-license key entry-level EASE JR program priced at only $800.00.
While it lacks some of the analytical power and presentation tools of EASE, EASE JR provides all the features and functions needed by most system designers, including: the complete EASE loudspeaker and wall material databases, including loudspeaker and line array DLLs; the advanced 3D modeling tools and Open GL rendering capabilities of EASE, including the popular VISION module; full DXF import and export; all the basic electro-acoustic mapping capabilities of EASE – direct SPL, ALCons/RASTI, loudspeaker overlap and aiming, etc. etc; direct sound auralization; and basic ray tracing (3rd order reflections of up to 1000 rays).

EASE JR/2 can be purchased together with EASERA (Electronic and Acoustic System Evaluation & Response Analysis) for the special bundle price of $1450, a saving of over 10% off the purchase of separate programs. A variety of upgrade paths allow owners of any version of EASE to take full advantage of the power and speed of EASE 4.1. Optional EASE add-in modules include AURA, the Analysis Utility for Room Acoustics, EARS 4.1 for binaural auralization, and EARS RT 4.1 for real-time auralization with Lake Convolution and Vmax Transaural Stereo Imaging. EASERA’s capabilities can also be expanded with modules for Maximum Length Sequence (MLS), and Polar (automated loudspeaker data acquisition) measurements. The optional TEF2000 module, which requires a TEF-USB A/D – D/A converter/preamp, adds TDS (Time Delay Spectrometry) capabilities to EASERA
