Community Announces 15-year Warranty on WET and R Series Enclosures
Community Professional Loudspeakers has announced a 15-year warranty on the structural integrity of the enclosures of the WET and R Series all-weather loudspeakers, systems designed for use in the most demanding environmental conditions. As well as applications such as sports venues, arenas and theme parks, the company’s products are designed for outdoor use on ships where they can face every condition of weather - from the frozen seas around the poles to the tropics.
Community’s corporate director of sales and marketing, Larry Howard, explains: “As the trend towards ‘disposable’ products increases, many manufacturers with little experience, and often less testing, feel it is acceptable to mould a plastic box or treat a standard wood enclosure and claim it as ‘weatherproof’ with the probability that it will just be thrown away and replaced when it fails, even within the warranty period. At Community we take a very different approach as our products are frequently used in the harshest conditions and can often form part of a life dependency evacuation or security system. We also respect the investment our customers make in our loudspeakers and we invest heavily in ensuring the designs and materials are truly long-term resistant under all conditions.”
Howard concludes: “Our warranty on all of the loudspeakers components remains at five years - in line with the industry best standards, even tough these products can face harder conditions in a week than most will in a lifetime, but we wanted to show the difference in our enclosures by backing them with a warranty that we can give with confidence.
