Springtime with d&b in Germany
The Frankfurt Pro Light+Sound 2005 exhibition and d&b audiotechnik both feel spring is in the air: Pro Light+Sound, by virtue of being at the beginning of April, and d&b in having discovered some rather brilliant colours for their little black boxes.
d&b audiotechnik has long pioneered the integrated system approach and belief that only with systems wrought from the same source can the acoustic and mechanical compatibility be assured. In line with this holistic approach are their new offerings that will go on show this year in Frankfurt. These address not only the demands of the acoustic environment but the exacting visual requirements and physical restraints within both the mobile and installation fields.
The d&b Q-Series has flourished since its introduction, leading to this year's launch of their vibrant Qi-Series installation range of loudspeakers. Based on the Q-Series, the Qi-Series consists of five loudspeakers types: the Qi1, Qi7 and Qi10 passively crossed over two-way loudspeakers and the Qi and QiCSA subwoofers all of which will make up a very lively and colourful display on their stand. Also featured will be d&b's Remote network that facilitates the daisy chaining of control signals from one amplifier to another. Via the ROPE C drag and drop graphical user interface access is provided to all the D12 amplifier's functionality, enabling central control and monitoring of systems. This network will be put through its steps at the show along with the unveiling of some significant new features that are contained in the next software release.
