Barco Adds Compact DLP Projector to HD Projector Fleet
Barco has announced the introduction of the CLM HD8, its compact 8,000 lumen DLP projector with full HD (1980 x1080) resolution. Built specifically for the mid-venue rental market, the CLM HD8 meets the need for a bright, rugged, DLP projector capable of projecting full native HD images - at price level of high brightness LCD projectors.
Recognising the increasing need for full native HD projectors in the market, Barco has developed the CLM HD8, its latest addition to its growing family of HD DLP projectors, which currently includes the XLM HD30, FLM HD18 and FLM HD14. With its sealed engine and DLP technology, the CLM HD8 delivers a brilliant, sharp and consistent image - even after years of use – without time consuming and expensive maintenance.
The CLM HD8 features a strong, all-metal chassis and comes with its own rigging kit, allowing for quick and easy set up. Its compact size, light weight and low noise levels make the CLM HD8 the ideal solution for both small and midsize venues. The full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels in combination with state of the art scaling technology ensures crisp, clear video and graphic images regardless of image format.
Additional features include DMX512 control of brightness (0 – 100% intensity control using internal optical dimmer), zoom, focus, lens shift and source selection. This alone will make the CLM HD8 very attractive to the theatrical and show market.
The compact size and low weight make for easy handling which will allow it to fit applications where lower brightness projectors were previously the only choice. Packed with all this extended functionality at the price level of a high bright LCD projector, the CLM HD8 is an attractive choice for markets and applications that have previously had to settle for lesser products.
