Wybron Launches Two New Fibre Optic Illuminators
Wybron has announced the introduction of two new fibre optic illuminators – the Transition Fixed Color and Transition Twinkle Wheel. Wybron will be demonstrating these two new products in PRG Distribution’s PLASA 2007 on stand G69.
The Transition Fixed Color is an ultra bright fiber optic illuminator that provides white light and has the ability to be fitted with a specific colour slot for an MR16 sized dichroic glass filter. The color filter produces continuous fixed colour illumination. It does not offer colour mixing.
The Transition Twinkle Wheel is an ultra bright fibre optic illuminator that utilizes CMY dichroic colour mixing and a douser to provide complete control over the light output. The unit also has a standard twinkle wheel.
“We developed The Transition line of fibre optic illuminators to fulfill clients’ requests for exceptional cool colour and special illumination effects when lighting perishable and highly valuable assets in the architectural, environmental, museum, food and animal habitat venues,” said Miles Dudgeon, director of marketing for Wybron. “Initial customer feedback is that they are overwhelmed with the bright light output of the Transition.”
The advantage of using the Transition line of products is that the light source is separated from the light output, and fibre optic strands do not conduct UV radiation, which allows practically heatless illumination. All Transition products are virtually silent and utilise a 150 watt compact UHI light source, which is extremely energy efficient. All three units accept 17 through 34 mm common end fibre bundles, are RDM compliant and easy to maintain.
