Wharfedale Reveals Complete Diamond 10 Series
Wharfedale continues the evolution of its famous Diamond speaker line with the introduction of the all-new Diamond 10 Series. The Diamond 10.1 - the latest generation of the classic Diamond ‘bookshelf' speaker unveiled last month - is to be joined by an extensive new line-up, including two further standmount speakers, five floorstanders, three centre speakers, two dedicated surround speakers and three active subwoofers.
For Wharfedale, the challenge was to build upon the exceptional heritage of its Diamond brand - the classic entry-point to true high-fidelity sound for over 30 years. The previous generation, the Diamond 9 Series, earned dozens of awards around the globe for the exceptional sonic value of its speakers; the Diamond 10 Series simply had to be better.
To meet the challenge, Wharfedale's engineers have made a number of significant, range-wide improvements encompassing all elements of the speakers' construction, including the cabinets, drive units and crossover components. Each speaker in the range has been voiced with painstaking precision, following extensive lab and listening tests led by Peter Comeau, Wharfedale's highly respected director of acoustic design.
