Arkaos Introduces Advanced Visual Synthesizer For Spectacular Video Shows

The pioneering video technology company Arkaos is showing its new solution for live visual performances at ProLight+Sound in Frankfurt. The KaosBox III is a console that manages the content on large screens and allows images and video to be played as easy as sounds are played on a piano.

Almost every major concert, fashion show, club or corporate event, now have large screens as a part of the stage design in order to enhance the experience of the audience. Filling these screens with spectacular content places high demands on the creative team as well as on the hardware.

To meet these demands Arkaos has developed its most advanced visual synthesizer yet - the KaosBox III. The bright blue console has integrated hardware and optimized software that allow an unrivalled number of video streams and images to be processed in real-time without losing image quality. It has three screens for preview and monitoring of the output channel and up to four simultaneous camera inputs. An array of buttons, switches and sliders provide direct control of the more than 60 effects that are pre-installed. The piano keyboard triggers videos, images and effects, and gives total creative freedom to visual performers.

"It has taken us eight years to fulfill the dream to create the ultimate tool for live visual shows. I was a musician playing in clubs when I first thought of the idea of using real-time video processing technology to combine the two most powerful art forms; music and visuals." says Marco Hinic, founder of Arkaos.

"Integrating music and live video has a huge potential for artists, clubs and for stage designers. Innovative videojockeys are helping to push the development, and I would say that VJing is now where DJing was ten years ago," he continues.

The KaosBox III is designed for cutting-edge events and performances. It has the speed and the effects to match the most creative ambition. Furthermore it is robust, easy to transport and install. It even has an internal battery in case someone pulls the plug.

"The show and events industries have started to see the advantages of live visual performances. They want great effects, but also want to cut time spent on preproduction. They want the flexibility to easily manipulate the content prior to and during a show. The KaosBox III significantly adds value to the use of large screens by being an excellent screen content manager, as well as being a tool for amazing video shows," states Ivan Lesage, general manager at Arkaos.

The KaosBox III is built on the experience of artists such as U2, David Bowie, Daft Punk, Jean-Michel Jarre using the Arkaos technology, and of working closely with partners in the events and rental industries over many years. It uses an advanced version of the software Arkaos VJ 3.0, which has thousands of users around the world.
