Trantec Premiere S6001 Pro-Series

Trantec Systems premiered its S60001 radio mic system at the recent Pro Light and Sound Exhibition in Frankfurt.

The Trantec S6001 is a single receiver version of the award-winning S6000 rack-based system, packaged in a ½ width, 1U 19” rack box. In common with its bigger brother, the S6001 boasts an unprecedented and impressive RF tuning range of 70MHz (CH 62 – 70). This wide operating bandwidth makes it ideal for complex tours and foreign projects.

The S6001 is capable of operating with user defined frequency sets, programmed either via a USB port, or custom programmed to individual frequencies via the data wheel on the front panel. An Infra-Red (IrDA) port, also located on the front panel, allows communication between the transmitter and receiver and allows configuration of the receiver via a Palm Pilot, which can also program the transmitter.

The unit’s front panel display allows access to all the standard functions including frequency, user name, mute level, RF level A and B (diversity), deviation, Vu and constant battery monitoring. It is able to display all this information through the latest generation of vacuum fluorescent display (VFD), giving excellent clarity in all environments.

The S6001 system has been developed from the ground up at Trantec’s headquarters in Surrey by its in-house R&D team. By collaborating with end users, the design of the S6001 has been tailored specifically for use in theatre, audio/visual, and broadcast applications.

“Our R&D team have built upon the original and highly successful S5000 and also the new S6000 multi channel system blueprint, achieving a level of design which we believe will set a new standard in radio microphone installations” said Rob Piddington, sales and marketing director. “The Pro Light and Sound Exhibition was the ideal environment for the S6001 to be launched – we were overwhelmed by the level of interest from visitors and exhibitors alike”
