Lighthouse Offers Industry’s First Universal Display Optimizer

Lighthouse Technologies Ltd. has announced the availability of Supervisor LH, a state-of-the-art display optimizer specifically designed to convert a wide range of input formats into resizable content to fit any shape of LED video display.

The first product of its kind to be offered in the LED display market, the Supervisor LH accepts both digital and analog formats, including standard and high-definition television and computer graphics, to create digital content for LED display screens and panels. Ideal for rental, staging and fixed installations, the Supervisor LH features an intuitive user interface, illuminated display and front panel, easy access to connectors, convenient carrying handles and rear connector protection and a lightweight aluminum chassis.

“As the content platforms and technology evolves, Lighthouse has taken steps to offer a solution that would simplify the process of inputting content onto our displays,” said Lighthouse managing director Mark Chan. “With the Supervisor LH, AV technicians can now use all known formats – analog, digital, PC, SD and HD – and easily convert the images onto Lighthouse screens and panels.”

In addition to enabling a vast range of sources, from common, conventional video to high-end formats, the high-performance optimizer uses a custom three-dimensional interpolating filter for maximum picture quality in all modes. Advanced video and 2:2/3:2 film processing will extract the best from all material, and computer graphics sources are scaled using broadcast-derived RGB 4:4:4 signal processing.

Other features and benefits of the Supervisor LH include that it extends life cycle through support for emerging formats, reduces inventory through universal interfacing and integration, reduces user intervention, aids fast, trouble-free rigging, facilitates wet and dry hire and low training costs, allows in-camera shots using internal synchronizer, eases control integration, is connectable over an Ethernet network, is capable of switching to a specified safe channel when main input is lost, has three user levels (two higher levels are only entered by password), and has auto screen-fill.

With its versatile content control capabilities, Supervisor LH compliments Lighthouse’s expanding line of indoor and outdoor LED display units. “The wide variety of video formats available today demanded a product that would allow those in the rental, staging and fixed installation market to convert any kind of data onto our displays,” said Chan. “By simply and effectively converting all forms of input, the Supervisor LH successfully addresses this challenge.”
