Navigator Systems Introduce New RentalDesk NX

Always wanting to be one step ahead of the competition and respond positively to customer needs, Navigator Systems have launched a new product in their software portfolio, RentalDesk NX. This release is the culmination of more than two years work and has resulted in the launch of RentalDesk NX Start Up Version, a fully functioning working copy of rental management software, which is completely free of charge.

RentalDesk NX Start Up Version gives people the opportunity to download the entire program and use it to help run their businesses by inputting real data. The only restrictions to the free version are a limit of 40 stock types and 100 names and addresses; and the printouts cannot be modified. When a user reaches the limitation, they are reminded, and given the option of purchasing any number of user licences from one to five. The Start Up version is not time-limited and as it is not a demo, all the data that has been entered stays in the system.

Company Director David Rose says: “With years of experience both developing and selling rental software, we realise customers want to get started with a system straightaway and expect to see results immediately. With this version they can. And best of all it’s free. We want all types of businesses and organisations, including charities to have the opportunity to use our software and by providing a Start Up version which doesn’t cost anything means that we are opening up the market even wider to get all types of people on board.”

Some of the new features of RentalDesk NX include a new server system that greatly enhances the speed of the system over a network and on single user systems. Enhanced graphical overviews of the company’s schedule give the user more information in a less cluttered environment. Warehouse operations have been greatly improved to allow the user to check equipment out or in with or without barcodes or through an intuitive check out/in system.

RentalDesk NX’s advanced report designer gives the user greater control of all printed forms generated within the program. A new e-mail client allows the user to create quotes in RentalDesk NX and e-mail an Adobe Acrobat PDF to the customer, all from within the program. Greater control over billing and collecting money has been included, and an interface to QuickBooks Accounting has also been improved.

RentalDesk NX benefits too from much better documentation, including a new help file with exact steps for the user to follow and a short interactive tutorial to demonstrate how easily the system can be set up and used.
