Xilver Introduce Xolar LT Striplight
The new Xolar LT long-throw lighting fixture combines a revolutionary approach to design with a wide-range of new applications and an advancement in the use of LED technology.
The Xolar LT is a linear long-throw fixture with a total beam angle of 2 degrees. It contains 16 segments either in individual, sectional or a single unit which is controlled through the industry standard DMX512 and the Xilver serial interface. Each segment uses Xilver’s unique and patent pending color-combining system. This system produces a homogeneous coloured beam and can integrate external effect filters, lenses and optional diffusers.
Xolar LT is calibrated to achieve a consistent and stable color output throughout changing temperatures. It has high power Lumiled Luxeon LED sources, 16 red Luxeon I, 16 green Luxeon III, and 16 blue Luxeon I - in total 48 Luxeon LEDs, which are controlled in a 30-bit modified smooth resolution.
The standard 2 degrees optic (4 degrees with beam homogenizing filter) creates a parallel light beam which results in an intense homogeneous colored beam, which can easily reach a throw of 100 metres. Unlike the current LED lighting technology, the Xolar LT can be used on stage for cycloramic or long-throw applications.
The fixture is horizontally or vertically stackable when using the Xilver integrated-rigging system. When stacked horizontally, the Xolar LT can be adjusted and angled to form a “light-array”. In addition, with a specific diffusion filter, the 2 degree beam angle can be transformed into an homogenously and a wide-viewing angle surface on all 16 segments. The “light-array” can be transformed into a “video-array”, due to the fact that the Xolar LT consists of 16 defined segments of pixels on a 75mm grid.
Designed for touring, the Xolar LT is waterproof (IP65 rated) and can be used either indoors or outdoors and in fixed installations. The fixture measures a total length of 1200mm, 75mm height and weighs 9kg.
