CyberHoist / InMotion 3D System Expands at PLASA 2005
XLNT Advanced Technologies announced a major expansion of the CyberHoist / InMotion 3D motion control system following last year’s PLASA Award-winning launch.
“The additions are designed to ensure the system remains the industry standard for its combination of sophisticated control, versatility, ease of use, simplicity of rigging and value for money,” says Ampco / Flashlight Group sales manager Marc van der Wel.
Two new CyberHoist intelligent hoist motors will join the original 500 kg-capacity, 0-20 metres per minute (1 foot per second maximum) variable speed CyberHoist 500. The new high-speed CyberHoist 250 motor is capable of lifting 250kg at variable speeds of 0-40 meters per minute (2.17 feet per second) – for smooth, fast and agile moves. Like all CyberHoist motors, it features an integral processor and Ethernet networking. The new invertible, high lifting power CyberHoist 1000 features a muscular 1000kg (1 ton) lifting capacity and fully variable speeds of 0-10 meters a minute (0.54 ft / sec), with the same unique, smooth motion. Suitable for inverted and non-inverted use (usable with the motor facing up or down), enabling it to be used with or without a mothergrid.
The matching InMotion3D control software is capable of operating all three types of motors singly or in one object. All safety, coordination, uniquely smooth movements and combined power are implemented to an identical standard and remain equally easy to programme.
The InMotion 3D hardware/software control packages have been expanded from two to three and a new option of an iMac G5 20” computer has been added to the existing choice of flightcased Dual PowerMac G5s for the biggest productions or a PowerBook G4 laptop for smaller shows.
The new RC1 CyberHoist Handheld Controller provides a simple, convenient and safe method of controlling a CyberHoist system without the need to set up a computer. Ideal for small applications including load-in and load-out, it provides control of most major functions including emergency stop.
The 2005 range expansion is completed with the addition of new DataMotion (dedicated data networking) and PowerMotion (dedicated emergency stop and power distribution) accessories, providing wider interface options and emergency stop facilities.
Since the CyberHoist / InMotion 3D system won a PLASA Innovation Award 2004, it has been chosen for some of the world’s biggest tours including Coldplay’s current ‘Twisted Logic’ world tour, the Black Eyed Peas’ North America dates, Rammstein’s European tour – and has been confirmed for this autumn’s North American tours by Paul McCartney and Pearl Jam.
