Cast Software Releases Vivien 1.5 and New Website
The much anticipated release of Vivien 1.5 is now available for download. Jam-packed with many new features and tools, Vivien 1.5 has raised the bar for ease of use, becoming the industry’s most powerful software.
New additions include Library Object Texturing, a feature that makes customizing any object a snap. With this feature users can apply any texture from polka dots to paisley directly onto Vivien’s chairs and tables. The results are amazing, producing visuals that are even more true to life.
The new SketchUp Import Feature enables users to import library objects from Google SketchUp’s 3D Warehouse. This is a perfect solution for the event professional that doesn’t have time to build an unusual model or object that isn’t already in Vivien’s vast library. It’s as simple as searching through Google’s massive warehouse to find the 3D object and then importing it into Vivien. And what’s even better, the object looks great in Vivien’s Virtual View and renderings.
As if that wasn’t enough, Vivien boasts new decorative Library Objects like Flowers and Trees—just in time for Spring! Users can select from a wide variety of floral arrangements, individual flowers, vases, and a diverse selection of trees, all of which are perfect for designing outdoor garden parties or for creating a dramatic look indoors.
Tents of all shapes and sizes have also been added to Vivien’s library. With a simple drag and drop, users can quickly show their clients the difference between small and large tent layouts from a variety of vantage points. This feature is sure to impress clients and is a great tool for up-selling.
Plus Vivien is now an APEX-endorsed software solution for the meetings and special events industry. Included in Vivien 1.5 is a new APEX menu item containing information about Accepted Practices Exchange (APEX) standards.
On the power side, Vivien has a new, faster Render Engine which now produces renderings that are better than ever.
