AES Launch for Renkus-Heinz VLX3 Series Line Array

VERSYS VLX3, the latest generation, high output line array system, is optimised for large and medium scale live sound reinforcement applications from touring and other rental tasks to fixed installation in arenas, stadiums, large houses of worship and the like.
VLX3 is expressly designed for use with external processing and amplification, as well as being fully optimized for the latest generation of multichannel amplifiers that provide integrated digital loudspeaker control, processing and monitoring.
The essentials are a comparatively lightweight (190 lbs / 86.2 kg) marine birch ply cabinet that delivers over 133dB SPL; integral flying hardware; a truck pack-friendly cabinet design. High versatility, suitable for applications ranging from corporate and regional acts and tours to full sized arenas; and fast, accurate flying and aiming in multiple configurations of up to 20 boxes a side with VerSys Aimware.
The VLX3 three-way driver line-up features dual 12" neodymium woofers, and dual custom designed CDT-1.5V CoEntrant MF/HF devices with 6.5" carbon fiber coned midrange drivers and 1.5" exit / 3" diaphragm HF units. The CoEntrant mid/high device is mounted on a compound phaseplug on an Isophasic Plane Wave Generator with a choice of 60, 90 or 120 degree horizontal dispersion configurations - a unique range of options in the pro audio touring and installation sectors.
Matching Renkus-Heinz subwoofers are readily available, notably the DR Series of internally and externally powered 18" vented direct radiating cabinets.
The VERSYS VLX3 universal flying hardware system - designed in alliance with leading touring industry users - provides a comprehensive road-ready touring package.
David Rahn, Renkus-Heinz national sales manager, comments: "VERSYS VLX3 has been engineered as a completely new generation line array system - wherever high output, unbeatable power-to-size and weight ratio and superb audio quality are the order of the day, VERSYS VLX3 will deliver."
