2007 Best Year Ever for HK Audio Cohedra Systems
The HK Audio line array systems Cohedra and Cohedra Compact continue to enjoy increasing popularity throughout the world, both in live use in mobile applications and in fixed installations as well. The “Coherent Dynamic Response Arrays” (as they are called in their full name) excel at natural response, long throw, minimal susceptibility to crosswinds, easy operation and complete plug-and-play design. In the relatively short time since they were introduced to the market in the fall of 2003 (Cohedra) and 2004 (Cohedra Compact), these HK Audio systems have found a great many users and friends around the world, especially in Europe, South Africa, Asia and Australia. HK Audio is proud to announce that 2007 was Cohedra’s most successful year ever.
“Last year in 2007 we were able to solidify and expand upon the double-digit growth we experienced in 2006,” says Christian Stumpp, head of international sales for the HK Audio Concert Sound and Install Sound divisions. “With new users and installations in many countries, in addition to our home market of Germany, we have been able to expand our circle of users in the hotly contested European market as well. We are especially gratified by the rapid growth and success of our users on the Spanish mainland. The Canary Islands have been very well equipped for some time already by the substantial Cohedra User Network there. Denmark and Russia also experienced major growth this past year.” Thomas Adt, concert sound sales manager for the German market, adds: “In 2007 quite a number of our international users continued to invest heavily in their HK AUDIO Line Array systems, and it’s rare to see any of our line array systems on the second-hand market. That shows that our customers are very satisfied with their purchase decisions because they regularly generate a healthy return on investment.”
2007 was also a very good year for Cohedra technology beyond the borders of Europe. In Asia Cohedra continues on its upward success curve. User Networks in China, Korea and Japan continue to grow. In Australia, too, more and more rental companies are relying on the line arrays. “The fact that Cohedra is being specified on more and more official riders, such as with Shakira, the Waterboys and Joe Cocker, shows the degree to which our technology is continuing to grow in popularity,” according to Christian Stumpp. “When you add up all these facts, plus take into consideration our new FIRNET Controller that is built on FIR filter technology, and add to that the completely reworked Power-Rack designs and our new collaboration with LAB Gruppen and their FP 10000Q amplifiers, it’s clear that in 2008 Cohedra will continue on its successful path into the future. In fact in January, we already welcomed several new users into the fold.”
