Dubai's Top Rental Company Invests in Electro-Voice
Top companies in the United Arab Emirates are under enormous pressure. Admittedly, the region is still enjoying a real boom, but more rental companies are entering the market than ever before. For sound experts in and around Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the result has been even fiercer competition. One thing is certain: if order books are to be filled, no compromises can be made with respect to quality. That's why the Dubai-based company EPIC Events L.L.C. has just invested heavily with NMK Electronics in equipment from Electro-Voice.
The order includes 12 XLC127 line-array enclosures, 20 active ZXA5 speaker systems, and Tour Grade amplifiers (TG5, TG7) with integrated RCM DSP modules controlled by IRIS-Net software. This is state-of-the-art equipment offering the highest degree of reliability, performance and ease-of-use. "The inventories of three rental companies in the United Arab Emirates now boast Electro-Voice line arrays with remote amplifiers," says Chicco Hiranandani, business development manager, NMK Electronics. "Another thing customers appreciate is the quality of Electro-Voice (after-sales) service. The regular software updates are extremely popular here. They create trust. That's why investing in Electro-Voice is always a sound decision in the long run."
Within days of the delivery, the team from EPIC Events was already celebrating some head-turning successes, including production work at a royal wedding and a show by vocalist Asala, the Madonna of the Middle East. At her show in the City Universal Hall in Sharjah, Edgar Gerson of EPIC Events was particularly taken not only with the amps and the XLC127 line array but with the ZXA5 monitors. "Powerful monitors are very much in demand here," he says. "Before, the foldback was often a problem and the topic of much criticism but with the ZXA5 monitors we have been receiving flattering praise. Even Hamad Al Ansari, perhaps the best-known sound engineer in the region, was enthusiastic. I'm sure we will soon be investing in more EV monitors."
