ARRI Introduce a Host of New Products

ARRI has launched new products in camera, lighting and digital intermediate technologies this year, attracting both new and existing customers. From the dozens of new products showcased, here are some of the highlights:

New lenses include the Master Macro 100, a high quality macro addition to the existing ARRI/Zeiss lens range and the low cost Compact Prime series, for cinematography on a prosumer budget.

Camera accessories include the new MB-28, a lightweight 6" x 6" matte box, and the MBP-2, a baseplate designed for small form factor cameras. HD Video Assist is for the ARRICAM and ARRIFLEX 435 35mm cameras offering 1920 x 1080 resolution and including Ground Glass Cancellation technology to remove graininess caused by the texture of the ground glass.

LED products include a trio of advanced LED-based products: the PAX Panel Kits fit inside small carry cases and as well as lightweight portability, and offer absolute control of colour and light output. The Background Lighting Module provides an exciting solution for cyclorama, screen, and rear illuminated panels, available in both RGB and Warm/Cool White Modules. The Caster Series allows single shadow rendering and white adjustments over a range of correlated colour temperatures.

New HMI Lighting products include the TRUE BLUE Daylight series which introduces the innovative True Blue features to discharge lighting including the cross-cooling system, a stronger lamp lock and improved optical performance.

Not only two new products but a new 1800W class has been introduced with the M18 and ARRISUN 18, giving an amazing 70% more light than a 1200W from the same size lamphead. The M18 ‘Baby MAX' is based on the award-winning ARRIMAX and features 20 to 60 degree beam angle without lenses, while the AS18 uses existing ARRISUN lenses for 8-40 degrees coverage.

For DI, the Archive GUI for the ARRISCAN film scanner allows users to accommodate film of any age and in any condition at the click of a button. The ARRICUBE Creator can be used to write 3D lookup tables (LUTs) for a DI workflow as well as a video-to-film workflow supporting virtually any VFX or DI system.
