Lightwright 5 Launches
John McKernon and City Theatrical has announced that Lightwright 5, the newest version of the industry leading, multi award winning, software for managing entertainment lighting paperwork, begins shipping September 1, 2009.
New in Lightwright 5 is Lightwright/Vectorworks Data Exchange, a new and easy way to share data with Vectorworks Spotlight 2009. This allows lighting designers, for the first time, to make changes in either program and to have those changes be automatically updated in the other program, eliminating importing, exporting, and merging, and saving designers time and trouble.
Some of Lightwright 5's new features include: any number of show files can be open at the same time; worksheet reconciliation compares and synchronizes show files; share files and new fast and flexible work notes via built-in email; a drag and drop color scroll design window; a graphical wheel editor for moving light gobos and colors; one click access to your favorite gobo manufacturers' websites, where you can drag gobos into Lightwright; worksheet history with flexible rollback options; automatic color swatches and gobo pictures on the worksheet, in color counts, and on paperwork (hover over them for large size image pop ups); automatic dimmer load balancing.
Lightwright has been used on over 90% of all Broadway shows over the last 10 years, and was named one of the "Products that Changed our World" by Lighting Dimensions Magazine.
