Ani Difranco Tours with Catalyst
Longtime LD Phil Karatz has used Studio Beams before, but this is his first time to take out Catalyst. He says: "The Catalyst system has worked out great. I used mostly custom content but I also used a bit of the stock content -- I like a lot of the art that shipped with version 3.2. I got a lot of content from Ani's office -- she has cool art on her records. I also used digital pictures I have taken from the road the last four or five years, and I used pictures from our tour manager Susan Alzner. Ani left everything up to me as far as the design and content of the show. She has been very cool and gives me a lot of leverage with the visual element of her shows."
Tyler Littman joins Karatz as lighting tech on the tour which makes its jaunt through the political "swing" states September to October, then hits Europe/UK Nov. 5-15, and returns to the U.S. Nov. 19-Dec. 1.
