BMW 1 with 130 ChromaPanels
This year, Uptown has been illuminated with an outsized ‘1’. The presentation of the new BMW 1 was announced and not as the house number of the complex. The Bavarian automobile manufacturer has chosen this special display, as the Uptown is unoccupied at the moment and will be finished only in a few weeks. Managers, directors and suppliers were invited to the internal presentation.
The number one was assembled out of a total of 130 Pulsar ChromaPanel 600 LED modules. With the assistance of special mounting plates, developed by Fournell Showtechnik, attached to the back, all ChromaPanels were installed in a very short time.
The mounting system includes different aluminium plates with Camlock take-ups as well as couplers with omega brackets. This makes it possible to install the ChromaPanels side to side or on top of each other in an easy and quick way. "The different fixing alternatives offer high flexibility for the installation," informed Fournell’s Thomas Fletcher. “Therefore all 152 ChromaPanels from our rental stock were equipped with these mounting plates as well as the linking plates and couplers.”
