EV’s EviD Speakers on Menu at London Gastropubs

Langley Sound & Light has assembled an impressive portfolio of trendy public house installations, notably working for proprietors Ollie and Tom Etridge, who own several prime gastropub sites in central London.

The Langley-based sound installation company has expressed a preference for ElectroVoice's design-conscious EViD range of compact loudspeakers, which completely meets the brief for these open-all-day restaurant and bar venues. "For each of these sites, a music system with even dispersion and coverage, coupled with high fidelity sound, was required for day-to-day use, with the capability to provide high sound levels when required," says Chris Cooper of Langley Sound & Light. "EV's EViD range provided this capability and also has the looks to complement any interior design beautifully."

Langley has completed EViD sound system installations at four critically-acclaimed pubs and restaurants; the Waterway in Maida Vale, west London, the Ebury in Pimlico and the Farm in Fulham, and The Wells in Hampstead. In the largest of the four venues, The Farm, ceiling-mounted C10.1 subwoofers allowed the maximum seating area to be utilised without compromising the aesthetic or audio quality. In this one venue, all the different sizes of cabinets in the EViD range have been used, from the petite EViD 3.2 moulded two-way cabinet to the high-output full-range EViD 6.2.

At the Waterway beside the canal in Maida Vale, a simple yet effective installation of 2 pairs of EViD 6.2 are partnered with two EViD 12.1 subwoofers for a compact system that can deliver an impressive punch.

An enthusiastic supplier and supporter of ElectroVoice systems for more than 15 years, Langley Sound & Light is also installing EViD-based background music systems into Spur steak restaurants in the M4 corridor and London.
