KV2 Audio at Brighton Labour Party Conference
ESL Ltd of Southend recently supplied the sound & lighting at this year’s Daily Mirror Labour Party Conference Party, held on the Wednesday night of the convention at the Grand Hotel, Brighton. Their brief was to supply a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system for a live band and disco for the 1000 delegates who attended.
ESL’s Mike Glover took their brand new KV2 Audio sound system to the event, which had been purchased just a week before, after hearing the system at this year’s PLASA show. The System was made up of ES1.8 Subs, ES2.5 Bass and the ES1.0 mid/high - all driven by KV2s EPAK amplifier/processing package.
Mike says: “Even though we had not used the system in a large venue or in a live situation, I had complete faith in what the equipment was capable of producing. We have had long discussions with Andy Austin-Brown from KV2 and this gave me the confidence to use the system for such a high profile event without any previous experience with the equipment. On the night the system exceeded all expectations and I am very pleased with the decision I made to invest in the KV2 system. I sure more of the KV2 equipment will be on our hire stock list in the very near future.”
The lighting system was made up of both intelligent and generic lighting. The automated lighting used included six Robe ColourSpot 1200Ats and various 575s. These were backed up by a number of Parcans and Jem smoke machines. All of the lighting was controlled via an Avolites Pearl.
