Terminal Studios Choose HK Wedges for New Marquee Club
Designed to hold a capacity crowd of 1000 braying punters meant that a serious in-house PA system was required. Because of their considerable experience with installing top end PA systems, Terminal Studios were chosen to carry out the work.
With a 15"/2" speaker + CD horn layout rated at 400w RMS, HK Audio's VT115X multi-function cab has proved itself to be the ideal choice for applications such as a full range cabinet, a mid/high unit or floor monitor, and was to be Terminal's number one choice for the Marquee monitor job.
“We knew that the sound system would be crucial to the success of the club, and the monitor system had to be division one for this venue," explains Terminal's MD Charlie Barrett. "As a hire company, we are constantly reviewing our choice of wedge but keep coming back to the HK Audio VT115s. We've used seven of the VT115X cabs for monitor systems in the Marquee install. They are extraordinarily powerful, can be run passively if necessary and sound just right, with plenty of midrange punch but an overall sweet voicing. We now have over 30 of them in various venues in London," adds Charlie, "and so far they have proved to be indestructible. There simply is nothing to touch them at the price - or any price for that matter!"
