T&M Boxes Given The Shout By Canegreen
Leading sound production company, Canegreen, have purchased four t&m6.5pa II loudspeakers as “shout” speakers — to enable touring sound engineers at the FOH and stage positions to communicate clearly with each other.
After evaluating these on shows with the Corrs, they placed the order with Shepperton-based suppliers, Marquee Audio. The German-built loudspeakers are exclusively imported into the UK by Fuzion plc.
Said Canegreen special projects manager, Pete Hughes, “We were ready to retire our old shout speakers and I was looking for something with more design and at the same time sounded great, with a good throw. These make lovely monitors, are a nice size and look great.
“Also the features were what we needed — the t&m speakers are portable, self-powered boxes, with mic/line inputs, good level and tone control, which is what you need in a loud environment, and they are not too obtrusive. They are simple plug and play boxes.”
The t&m6.5pa II is a two-way full-range system in a trapezoidal rectangular polyethylene enclosure. It incorporates a 6.5in woofer and a 1in soft dome tweeter, powered by integral 50W amplifier with input gain and EQ controls.
Their first full tour of duty with Canegreen is expected to be with Paul Weller.
