AED Rent Belgium Upgrades to Klark Teknik DN370
AED Rent Belgium, one of Europe's largest dry-hire rental support companies with divisions in Rotterdam and Paris and headquarters in Willebroek, Belgium, has taken delivery of 17 Klark Teknik DN370 graphic EQ devices from Brussels-based KT distributor, Pro Entertainment (a division of a prévost). The DN370s were purchased as a monitor upgrade for two of AED's existing PA sets: the XL4 and XL3 sets.
AED's XL4 set features a Midas XL4 on FoH and a Heritage 3000 on monitors, and now boasts one DN370 in the FoH drive rack and a further eight units (which equals 16 channels) for monitor EQ. The XL3 set, which features Midas XL3 consoles on both FoH and monitors, is similarly equipped with one DN370 on FoH and seven (thus 14 channels) for monitor EQ.
AED Rent CEOs, Glenn Roggeman and Eddy Van Nuffel explained their decision to upgrade to Klark Teknik DN370s. "As one of the largest European suppliers to the entertainment industry, we have to have equipment that we can rely on 100%," commented Glenn. "We've been using Klark Teknik and Midas equipment for many years, and it has always performed impeccably, so there was absolutely no reason to change suppliers. Furthermore, they are two of the most internationally recognized brands in pro audio circles, and engineers like to see those names on your inventory list."
Eddy Van Nuffel agreed. "Absolutely right – DN360, DN370 and XL4 are definitely some of the best numbers to have on your technical riders! As for the DN370 in particular, we chose it because it is complementary to the DN360 which we have been using for years and has never let us down, and better still, DN370 is even more suitable for monitor EQ, which is what we were particularly looking to upgrade. It's certainly not the cheapest EQ on the market, but in terms of audio quality, features, reliability and brand recognition, the investment was worth every penny."
