Canegreen Get ‘Good Vibrations’ with New Milo
Enjoying continuing expansion, Canegreen has invested heavily with the purchase of more Milo line-array speakers, 120 Milo wide-dispersion under-hang boxes and 700HP sub cabinets, to accommodate increased demand from both existing and new clients.
They have also acquired a warehouse adjacent to their current headquarters, increasing their warehousing space to 20,000sq ft, also accommodating the success of sister companies Green-i and Canegreen Commercial, which alongside Canegreen are experiencing rapid growth of demand.
Canegreen has carried a stock of Meyer speakers since 1985 that have been continually updated to offer clients the best possible sound system. In 2003 they bought their first Milo line-array system, which has proven popular with engineers, artists and audiences on rock, folk, jazz, pop and classical, indoor and outdoor, festivals and concerts.
MD Yan Stile commented: “We have always responded to market forces at Canegreen, which is why we carry a variety of manufacturer’s products. The Milo line-array is proving very popular and we expect demand to increase during the next 12 months.”
The new speakers are already on their first outing with the Beach Boys on their current UK tour. Their flexibility, being able to produce superb sound in any venue small or large, has (again) proven a perfect choice for a tour playing a range of diverse sized venues. The Beach Boys front of house engineer, Michael Swift commented: “The Milo line-array is a very honest system; you get out what you put in. The sound is clear with no interference so there is no disruption to good music, just as there is no covering up bad music. After working with the Beach Boys for six years now I have used a number of systems and I would use this system every day.”
The new Milo line-arrays’ second outing from Canegreen is December’s KD Lang tour, covering a range of venues including the Hammersmith Apollo and Birmingham Symphony Hall, whilst other Milo systems this month are on the Corrs tour and Young Voices tours.
