Christmas Car Park for Brighton Marina
The Brighton Marina Company commissioned the decoration of the car park, bringing in The Organisation to manage the project. The installation utilised Sunbaba’s DigiSound fabric is covered in fairy and festoon lighting and when lit at night looks like a giant Christmas present, with a bow adorning the top.
The Organisation brought in Sunbaba Screens to recommend and provide a fabric for the project that would act as a backing to the lighting installation, while being fire retardant, lightweight and air permeable. DigiSound was chosen for the job and rigged against the top two storeys of the car park to ensure patrons could not touch the lighting rigged in front.
Glenn Morgan, director of The Organisation, explained how it was put together. “Our technical team worked with riggers from Sunbaba to install the fabric. They abseiled the sides of the car park to position the screens and then the lights were hung from a series of wires around the fascia of the car-park using the screen to fix to. The result is striking and impressive at night and is the addition to the Brighton skyline that the client was looking for.”
