MixWizards Enrol at Grange Hill
Popular children's drama, Grange Hill, will be sporting two Allen & Heath MixWizard all-purpose compact mixers in the new series, scheduled to broadcast on BBC1 in January 2005.
Series 28 will feature a new multi-media technology suite, following the receipt of sponsorship funding by the school. A WZ12:2DX and WZ16:2DX have been commissioned for use in the Creative Learning Centre set, which includes a radio station and TV studio.
In early episodes the students decide on the subject matter for their new DVD project, which viewers follow through filming, editing and post production to the 'Hollywood' style premiere in the final episodes. Radio Grange Hill, off air since 1987, is also relaunched, with the pupils running and using it to promote school activities.
"We have been delighted with the mixing desks and chose them because of their compact and stylish, yet fully functional and easy to use design, which we felt was exactly right for school usage," comments Grange Hill's production buyer, Emma-Jane Grainger.
Grange Hill is the longest running TV drama in the history of children's television and remains one of the top-rated programmes on CBBC.
