Snelling Choose Sennheiser for Norwich City FC AV System
Professional audio-visual supplier, Snelling Business Systems of Norwich, have just completed an AV system for the new Jarrold stand at Norwich City Football Club.
The microphone systems chosen were Sennheiser evolution wireless G2; two ew 322 systems with EM 300 receivers and SK300 pocket transmitters with ME 4 tie cardioid mics and two ew 335 systems with EM 300 receivers and SK 300 hand-held transmitters with MD 835 cardioid heads. These, plus Denon Multi CD and Pro DVD and JVC SVHS VCR, feed the mixers and DSP audio matrix control. Amplification is then handled by a QSC CX254 4-channel amp, which drives eight Tannoy iP5 Mirage NXT ceiling loudspeakers. A Tannoy CMS110B active sub adds the lower frequencies to the system.
To provide audio for the hard of hearing, and DDA compliance, there is an additional Sennheiser infrared system consisting of an SZI 1015-T radiator with integrated modulator, an SZI 1015 slave radiator, 10 x RI 250-S receivers with 5 x EZT 1011 neck induction loops and 5 x TC 2-36 earphones.
Procon and custom Snelling control and processing, together with two Panasonic W6 series plasma screens and a Panasonic 4200 lumen XGA projector, complete the video package for the installation.
Toby Wise, technical director for Snelling Business Systems explained the choice of the audio equipment: “As well as the obvious need for the highest sound quality, the multi-purpose requirements for the room meant the equipment had to be reliable and simple to use - particularly for inexperienced microphone users. The Sennheiser wireless systems gave us the audio quality we were looking for and work beautifully with the Tannoy flat-panel loudspeakers. The sound is consistent throughout the room and you can walk right under the loudspeakers, with either type of microphone, with no risk of feedback."
