Total Structures Honoured Again at LDI
Another prestigious LDI award has been bestowed upon Total Structures, making three in four years. Following awards for the revolutionary OMNI connector and the highly innovative and critically acclaimed new wave truss, the judges selected Ballast Truss to be Product of the Year – in the Staging, Rigging and Hardware Category from the four new aluminum products launched by Total Structures at The Entertainment Technology Show - LDI 2004 in Las Vegas.
The redesigned medium duty fold flat truss, the fixed catwalk truss for permanent installations and the value engineered, industry standard trusses that form the Element range, were all worthy contenders and attracted considerable interest, but it was the Ballast Truss, a practical solution to the issue of stability of outdoor delay towers and roof structures, that won the vote. Peter Hind (Total Structures V.P. Engineering) accepted the award at the ET Live event on Saturday evening in front of a packed crowd.
Total Structures has established itself as one of the most innovative aluminum fabrication companies in the entertainment industry today. Along with the development and launch of four new products at LDI, 2004 has seen Total Structures design and fabricate a number of high profile structures including the Acoustic Canopy at the Hollywood Bowl which has attracted many plaudits from around the world.
