Alto Debuts Major New Products

Consolidating its reputation for offering Pro Audio quality at consumer-level prices, Alto has unveiled a range of new products and product series, says UK distributor Proel (International).

Building on the success of the original Alto Maxidrive, three new versions are immediately available: the Maxidrive 2.3, Maxidrive 3.4 Compact and the Maxidrive 3.4 PC.

The Maxidrive 2.3 is a two-way stereo - three/four-way mono digital crossover and sound management system, capable of being used as a two-way stereo crossover, three or four way mono crossover, or distribution mixer with up to four outputs. The Maxidrive 3.4 is a three-way stereo - three/four/five/six-way mono digital crossover and sound management system, while the Maxidrive 3.4 Compact, suits similar applications, offers a few less features but comes in a much smaller housing. All three Alto Maxidrives benefit from digital inputs and RS 232 ports for PC communications. An editor is downloadable direct from Alto and the units feature flash memory, enabling users to store their own presets and move them from unit to unit.

Equally new is Alto's new AMX series mixers. Packed with features but destined to sell at extremely competitive prices, the range includes the AMX-180 (18 channels, 2-bus mixer), AMX-220 (22 channels, 2-bus), AMX-100FX (10 channels, 2-bus with dsp), AMX-140FX (14 channels, 2-bus with DSP) and the AMX-180FX (18 channels, 2-bus with DSP).
