Alto Breaks the Price Barrier
With a brand new series of PA enclosures launched at this year's Frankfurt show, Alto has promised a price onslaught on the highly competitive plastic-housed, portable speaker market. The company promises to set new levels of price-performance in this market sector.
Distributed in the UK by Proel (International), the first of Alto's new range is the PS4HA, an active, two-way 12in enclosure, with a heavy-duty, high-resistance ABS housing. Ready-equipped with multiple points for flying, the bi-amped PS4HA features a Class H power amplifier onboard, which deliver 300 Watts into the low frequency driver and 100 Watts for HF duties.
Proel claims that the new speaker has “extremely high quality acoustic performance - far better than budget-priced plastic housed PA enclosures.” The PS4HA is just the first of an entirely new generation of PA enclosures from Alto, with seven more models destined for launch in the next few months.
